(Nov 26th)

Last weekend, I had such a wonderful time with Miss Morris and Miss Morris Ambassador at the annual craft show in Morris, MN.   We had a good turn out and had lots of fun serving BBQs and bars to the community.  I want to thank our directors for putting together everything and for the wonderful weekend we had together.  It was so nice to be back in Morris to see you community and people.  I always have a great time and I never get tired of the home cooked meals.  Thanks again for your support and again, I am very happy to be back in Minnesota!

Celebrating Thanksgiving!

Back in Minnesota!

Miss Midwest is back in Minnesota!

I am finally done with my student teaching experience.  I had such a wonderful time in Texas, volunteering around the communities and speaking to students at the schools.  Texas really opened my up to new opportunites I have never experiences before and the people were so welcoming.  I am so happy to become a teacher and I can't wait to have my own classroom. Thanks again to my wonderful teachers back in Houston, you have taught me so much!

Happy Thanksgiving! Being thankful for all we have :)

Happpy thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving weekend... make sure to give thanks to your family and friends for all they do during the holidays! We should be thankful everyday for all the things we have, food to eat, clothes to wear and a home to live in.  You never truly understand how greatful we should be, untill you have seen one of the poorest countries in the world!

I want to thank all my family and friends for everything they have done over the past few years and for the support they have provided me with. I would not be the person I am today with out their help and support!

Thanks again and god bless everyone and their families!

Star of Hope!

Star of Hope Mission Center

Monday night, we had the wonderful opportunity to teach the 6-8 year old students and the Star of Hope mission center in Houston, TX.  We read them stories, sang songs and colored pictures. They even had the chance to make their own crowns and think of things that they wanted to be when they grew up! It was such a blessing to have this opportunity and the students were so much fun to work with and teach!

Thank you Star of Hope for this opportunity... not only did we help encourage students, but in the end the children encouraged us as teachers!

Thanks you and God bless :)

Star of Hope Mission Statement:

Building in Texas!

Habitat for Humanity.....

Last Saturday, a friend and I went building at the Habitat site for the last time in Texas.  I will be leaving Houston in two weeks.  I was very happy to see all the helpful builders for the last time and could not believe the progression we have made on the homes since we had started.  This weekend we were finishing shingling the second home and they were already finished with the electrical part of the home.  I was so happy to finally see these two homes come together after working on them for the last couple months.

Good luck to Habitat for Humanity Baytown and thank you for the wonderful opportunity of volunteering at your site the last couple months.... God Bless Yall!

Make a Dontation:

You are Special!

(Oct 29th) Last week I had the opportunity to read to students at Johnson Elementary in Kindergarten.  I went into 5 different classrooms through out the day and  read the story, "The One, The Only, Magnificent Me!"  They really enjoyed the story and afterwords the all got the chance to create their own personal crown.  The students had so much fun wearing their crowns around school all day and were so happy to have a princess come into their classrooms!

I had a wonderful time at the schools and these opportunities make me more happy everyday to become a Teacher!

School Carnival... Celebrating Education!

(Oct 29th) Last Friday we had our annual Fall Festival Carnival at school.  I had so much much meeting the families, students and helping out at different games through out the night.  We had a very good turn out and raised lots of money for our school.  My students had a wonderful time and the could not wait to share with me on monday their stories about the festival.

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Houston Habitat.... the homes are coming together!!

(Oct 30th) Last Saturday, a good friend and I built at the Habitat site near Houston.  It was very a neat to see how the homes have progressed since we were at the site a few weeks ago.  The grass that we laid was growing in very well and the volunteers were so happy to see us again.  The people you meet at building sites will always leave you with wonderful memories.

This weekend we helped with shingling the roofs of the homes and sheds.  I was very proud of us that day, after working in the 90 degree heat and completing two shed roofs and one home!  As a team we can do outstanding work... I cant wait to go back this coming weekend and volunteer with everyone!
